Starfuckers at the Vera Project
My hommie at Royal Magnet, Mike Grigg and I just finished our first collaboration for our new joint -Rangotang. We will specialize in making posters for bands. We will be designing AND doing the printing, that mean hand pulled silkscreen folks. We just finished our first poster for Starfuckers who will be playing at the Vera Project. I'll be posting a photo of the poster this weekend after they dry a bit. We have a couple of other irons in the fire and I am pretty encouraged by the results of this poster. So keep a look out for us. Once we get a website up, and start posting at Gigposters, I'll let you know.

Bubba continued
I found this photo that I took in 2000 with my trusty Polaroid camera. I was part of a project where I documented my last year of school exhaustively. This photo was from my last day at Ball State, about two weeks before I left Indiana for good.
UPDATE!!!
a Muncie Star Press article about him.
One Life Ends, One Continues
So by now some of you readers may know that I went to the prestigious Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana for my undergrad. While I was there I bought a lot of booze at a place called Muncie Liquors. It was a magical place full of booze, and it got me aquatinted with three things that would shape my University experience: Rhinelander beer ( $6 for a case of longneck glass bottles), the liquor gift pack (supplier of shot glasses and bar towels, and Bubba, the man who sold me all of these things.
Bubba was maybe 10 years older than me, but relished selling beer and liquor to college students. He was a large man of both stature and heart, as he also worked with developmentally handicap young adults during the day.
RIP Bubba.

Lady Cardinals - Good Job
Good job by the Lady Cardinals, they basically beat the Bulls of women's NCAA basketball. I don't normally care much for basketball, but when old Ball State gets a victory this significant, it is worth noting.
Read about it here.
the Stone Roses
I was just thinking about one of my favorite bands. Oh, and I have been SUPER busy so You Tube to the rescue. Fear not tomorrow I'll be posting a rad new piece that I'll finish up tonight.
So to tide you over until then:
The drum beat in this song kills me when it comes in. So simple, so awesome.

Cobra Castles the zine
Well zine-sters here is another sneak peek at the ultra cool Cobra Castles Zine that I am putting together with a couple of my friends. It will be out in about a month and will be the first in a series of old-school zines that I am going to make. When I say "old-school", I am talking photocopy technology. I'll have another post about this in about a month when the zines are finished.
This is one that I did that didn't make the cut, but that I liked anyway.
